Assisto séries desde moleque seja na TV Aberta ou na TV Paga. Cresci vendo das mais diversas e tomando gosto pela coisa, me interessando mais e indo buscar informações, mais dicas de séries pra ir atrás e por aí vai. E foi assim por esses anos. Participando de um podcast com os amigos do "Serious Cast" decidi listar as minhas séries favoritas. Fazer listas sempre é algo difícil e elas sempre fruto de um momento por isso as posições e os nomes sempre podem mudar com o tempo, nada é eterno, no lugar dessas 50 séries outras séries seriam dignas de entrar em alguma posição (foi triste deixar várias de fora) e o tempo sempre faz a gente mudar de ideia onde quer que seja o lugar, porém sempre é um exercício fascinante e divertido de ser feito. Decidi listar só séries que já acabaram. Provavelmente no futuro séries como "Atlanta", "Succession" e outras podem aparecer muito bem posicionar na lista, as únicas exceções foram séries no ar atualmente de longa duração como "It´s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" e "Os Simpsons" que acabaram entrando porque já se tem uma parcela gigante e considerável pra se julgar e Simpsons já se tornou uma espécie de património cultural sem fim previsto tão cedo. Também descartei minisséries (tem uma lista no Letterboxd das minhas favoritas confiram lá).  Fiz breves comentários sobre os 20 primeiros lugares. Aproveitem as dicas porque tem muita coisa que vale á pena ser assistida e a única coisa que importa de uma lista dessas sempre é pegar essas dicas :)

Deadwood é violenta, suja e vulgar, dentro disso, ela revela um verdadeiro mergulho sobre a vida em comunidade e até um otimismo sempre contrastado com a sua dureza. Os diálogos são como música e cada plano parece que tem uma pulsação visceral que honra a própria Deadwood: um lugar fudido.

Já foi trágica, já foi farsa, já passou por episódio musical, mudo, preto e branco, pelo mundo dos sonhos, pelos dilemas mais divertidos e os mais dolorosos. Quem disse que uma série sobre uma adolescente que caça vampiros não pode ser genial nunca viu Buffy.

As desconstruções tanto do gênero policial quanto do gênero de máfia, estudando as dores e a existência da alma e mente humana ou investigando todas as correntes de um sistema, conseguindo resultados ricos, fortes e ousados dentro disso de uma forma onde ninguém havia chegado ou vá chegar. Impossível pensar em uma e não na outra. Impossível escolher entre elas.

1. "Twin Peaks"   

David Lynch e Mark Frost meio que comandam Twin Peaks como se estivéssemos dentro de um passeio turístico por um dos lugares mais fascinantes do mundo. Seja pela beleza, pela plástica, pela estranheza, pela graça, pelo assustador, pelo triste, pelo constrangedor, pelo bizarro e tudo de mais impossível mas singelo que Lynch e Frost fazem. Um passeio pelas possibilidades de um formato.
